A private group Benagil cruise is one of the best ways to bring people together in the Algarve. Friends, families, colleagues or a wedding party share a day on the water, cruising from Vilamoura past golden cliffs to the arches of Praia da Marinha and the entrance to the Benagil cave, then swimming at anchor in a nearby cove.
How you do it depends on the size of your group. For 8 to 11 guests, one of our yachts is perfect: Majestic takes up to 8, São Lourenço and Atlantis up to 10 each, and NOON up to 11. For larger groups, two, three or all four of our yachts can sail together, carrying up to 39 guests in total, each with its own captain and crew.
Whatever the size, the trip stays private. There are no strangers on board, the music is your own, and the day runs to your timing. Every yacht includes cava, wine, beer, soft drinks and water, snacks, snorkelling gear and paddleboards, and prices are per yacht with VAT included.
As with every Benagil trip, the cave is a protected area: yachts stay outside and swimming or landing inside is not allowed. For groups we recommend four hours or a full day, as the cruise takes 45 to 60 minutes each way. Start with NOON, our largest yacht, or see all our charters.

One yacht for groups of 8 to 11
Most groups fit comfortably on a single yacht, and that is often the most sociable way to travel: everyone on one deck, one conversation, one view of the cliffs.
- NOON – Sunseeker San Remo 485, up to 11 guests, two en-suite cabins. Our largest yacht and the natural choice for a group of 9 to 11. Four hours €1,650, full day €2,450.
- São Lourenço – Fairline Targa 47, up to 10 guests, two en-suite cabins, refitted 2025. Four hours €1,350, full day €2,100.
- Atlantis – Atlantis 47, up to 10 guests, two cabins. The best value for a group of 10. Four hours €1,200, full day €1,900.
- Majestic – Sunseeker Portofino 53, up to 8 guests, two en-suite cabins. Ideal for a smaller group who want classic Sunseeker style. Four hours €1,600, full day €2,150.
Guest limits are set by each yacht’s licence and include children and babies, so we cannot add extra people on the day. Split between ten friends, a four-hour trip on Atlantis works out at €120 each, with drinks, snacks and water toys included.
Larger groups: two or more yachts sailing together
For a Benagil group boat trip of more than 11, we charter two or more of our yachts together. They leave Vilamoura Marina at the same time, cruise the coast in company and anchor near one another in the coves where space, conditions and local rules allow.

Each yacht keeps its own captain and crew of two, with drinks, snacks and water toys on every boat. For safety, guests stay on their own yacht at sea, so it helps to plan who travels together – by family, team or friendship group. Many groups meet again ashore for lunch or dinner in Vilamoura afterwards.
The price is simply the sum of the yachts you choose. For example, NOON and São Lourenço for four hours cost €1,650 plus €1,350, a total of €3,000; all four yachts for four hours cost €5,800, and for a full day €8,600.
Because several yachts must be free on the same date, book early for July and August.
Corporate days, birthdays, hen and stag parties
A private boat for groups in the Algarve suits almost any occasion, and our crews have welcomed every kind of party.
Corporate and incentive days. Treat a team or entertain clients with a morning cruise to Benagil and lunch ashore, or a full day with lunch at anchor. A yacht is a relaxed setting for conversation, and the coastline does the rest.
Birthdays and anniversaries. We can arrange a cake, decorations, champagne and a photographer on request at extra cost. Tell us the occasion when you book and the crew will help make the moment.
Hen and stag parties. Lively groups are welcome. Bring your playlist, enjoy the included drinks, swim and paddleboard in the coves. We simply ask everyone to follow the captain’s safety guidance, especially around swimming and on deck while under way.
Families and reunions. Several generations on one yacht – or across two – is a lovely way to share a holiday. Children are welcome; please tell us their ages so we can prepare life jackets.
For an evening celebration closer to the marina, our champagne sunset cruise is another favourite with groups.
Planning your group charter
A little preparation makes a group day run smoothly.
- Confirm numbers early. The guest limit per yacht is fixed, so tell us your final number before you book.
- Choose your duration. Four hours reaches Benagil with a swim stop; a full day of seven hours allows lunch at anchor and a slower pace.
- Arrange extras in advance. Catering, cakes, decorations and photographers need notice. Let us know about dietary needs.
- Agree a meeting time. Everyone meets at Gate A3 in Vilamoura Marina, in front of Il Lamparo restaurant, about 15 minutes before departure.
- Nominate one contact. One lead name makes it easy for us to coordinate several yachts.
